藝祭2019レポート
皆さんこんにちは！ヒラヤマインターン生の前田です！
今回は2019年9月6~8日に行われた東京藝術大学の学園祭「藝祭2019」に行ってきましたので、そちらのレポートを書きたいと思います。ヒラヤマ所属のインターン生の作品も続々登場しますので乞うご期待！
１．アートマーケット
越智俊介とコモゴモ展
JR上野駅から歩いて約５分、藝大のキャンパスに入る前からなんとお祭りはスタートしていました。上野公演噴水前広場から100を超えるアートマーケットが展開。
ラグビーW杯2019日本大会を記念し、サントリーラグビー自販機を手掛けた越智俊介さんも展示をされていました。
充実のアクセサリー
後藤由芽さんや仁科緑さんによるアクセサリー販売も行われていました。
どちらも僕が話している間にも売れていくという人気品。
由芽さんはポメラニアンのキーホルダー、緑さんは本物のお花から作ったイヤリング・ピアスを販売しておりました。
２．屋外展示
巨大神輿が学長賞などを獲得！
さてさて、藝大キャンパスの入り口の所まで行くと声をかけられました。
建築1年の關田重太郎君です！彼が作成に関わった巨大神輿が「学長賞」「岡倉天心・北茨城市町賞」「 上野中通り商店街賞（上中賞） 」の３つの賞を獲得しました！すごい！
他にも巨大神輿はいくつかあったのですが、重太郎君達が作った神輿だけ、神輿の中側をくり抜いて作っているんですよね。 これは作るのが難しそうと素人ながらに思いました。
賞を取るとオブジェが贈呈されるそうです。学長の生首みたい。

３．模擬店
ムッシュポテト
ムッシュ&ゲイポ
青い空 白い雲 今年はついに200代目ウルリアンとフランスで修行したムッシュ・ポテト がおとなり同士でお店をオープン！
店長はまみたすこと高橋真美さん。谷口あかりさん、滝川友里子さんも店頭で頑張っておられました！
看板デザインから商品まで、とても洗練されていて三日間ではなくずっと売っていて欲しいと思ってしまう！
ポテトの形は3種類から選べる。全て450円。ドリンク付きで500円。
４．屋内展示
デザイン科2年展示
総合工房棟に来ました。
高芝祐衣さん、齋藤裕華さん、産本美里さんの作品が展示されておりました。
ブロックならもっと"できる"展!
もう一つ展示ブース、ブロック展に来ました。
勝川由芽野さんが「着るブロック」を作成していました。素敵なドレス。
使用しているブロックはレゴではなくBの形をした新しいブロックだそうです。
５．最後に…サンバ！
突如行われたサンバ
最後に模擬店の前を歩いていたら、サンバ隊に遭遇しました。
谷口あかりさんや滝川由里子さんなど模擬店の店員さんたちのようです。

Today I’d like to share a report from Geisai 2019, the annual school festival of Tokyo University of the Arts, held from September 6 to 8, 2019.
You can look forward to seeing many works from our talented intern artists as well!
1. Art Market
Shunsuke Ochi and the "Komogomo Exhibition"
Just a 5-minute walk from JR Ueno Station, the festivities had already begun even before entering the campus.
Over 100 art market booths were lined up in the plaza in front of the Ueno Park fountain.
Among them, Shunsuke Ochi—known for designing the SUNTORY Rugby Vending Machine celebrating the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan—was also exhibiting his work.
Handmade Accessories Galore
Accessories by Yume Goto and Midori Nishina were also available for sale.
Both were extremely popular, selling quickly even while I was talking to them.
Yume-san offered Pomeranian keychains, while Midori-san showcased earrings and piercings made from real flowers.
2. Outdoor Exhibits
Giant Mikoshi Wins Multiple Awards!
As I arrived at the entrance to the Geidai campus, I was greeted by Shigetaro Sekita, a first-year architecture student.
The giant mikoshi (portable shrine) that he helped build won three awards:
- The President’s Award
- The Tenshin Okakura / Kitaibaraki City Mayor’s Award
- The Ueno Nakadori Shopping Street Award
Other teams also created large mikoshi, but Shigetaro’s group stood out by hollowing out the inside—quite an impressive feat even from a layperson’s perspective!
Winners received a trophy-style art object as their prize.

I bought a pamphlet and some stickers!
3. Food Stalls
Monsieur Potato
This year, Monsieur Potato and Gaypo—run by the 200th generation Ulurian (long story!) and a chef trained in France—set up side-by-side food stalls under the blue skies and fluffy clouds.
The store manager was Mami Takahashi, aka “Mamitass,” assisted by Akari Taniguchi and Yuriko Takigawa.
From the signage to the menu, everything was stylish and well-designed—honestly, I wish they were open year-round!
You could choose from three styles of fries, all priced at ¥450, or ¥500 with a drink.
4. Indoor Exhibitions

At the Sogo Kobo building, I found the works of Yui Takashiba, Yuka Saito, and Misato Umemoto on display.
"Blocks Can Do More!" Exhibition
I also visited the Block Exhibition where Yumeno Katsukawa displayed her “Wearable Blocks” project—a beautiful dress!
Interestingly, the blocks weren’t made from LEGO, but from a new type of B-shaped block.
5. And Finally… Samba!
A Surprise Samba Parade
While walking past the food stalls at the end of the day, I ran into a surprise samba parade!
Some of the dancers included Akari Taniguchi and Yuriko Takigawa, who had been manning the food stalls earlier.
I’ve included a photo to share the fun, energetic vibes of the moment!
