Rain or Shine in Nihonbashi
梅雨も明るく

現役美大生のクリエーティブ集団・ヒラヤマにて
インターンとして働いている 慶應義塾大学 環境情報学部2年の高橋理緒です。
先日ついに梅雨入りしたということで、「小宮商店」という傘屋さんへ行ってきました！
実は、ヒラヤマのオフィスから歩いて5分もかからない場所に本社があり、ショップと工房が一体になっています。
店内にはさまざまな傘が並んでいましたが、特に印象的だったのは、折り畳み傘にも長傘にもなる雨晴兼用の傘です。
地域による傘の縫い上げ方の違いを知ったり、飛騨の木を使った持ち手を見たりして、職人さんの技術やこだわりを間近で感じることができました。
また、昨年放送されたドラマ『相棒』のロケ地にもなったそうです！
父の日向けのギフトセットも販売されているとのことなので、プレゼントを探している方にもおすすめです。
その後は、イタリアンレストラン「bakuro COMMON」さんでランチをいただきました！
店内はとても開放的な雰囲気で、ソファのテラス席もあります。
今回は店内でいただきましたが、晴れた日にテラス席で食事をしたらとても気持ちが良さそうだなと思いました。
私が注文したローストビーフはとても柔らかく、思わず夢中で食べてしまうほど美味しかったです！
ヒラヤマの近くには、長く地域に根差したものづくりのお店や、多くの人が集まる魅力的な飲食店があり、日本橋エリアの活気を支えていることを改めて実感しました。
普段はインターンで行き来することが多い街ですが、少し足を止めて周辺を歩いてみると、日本橋を盛り上げる素敵なお店がたくさんあることに気付かされます。
これからも、そんな地域の魅力を発見していきたいと思います！✨
The rainy season has finally arrived, so I headed over to an umbrella shop called Komiya Shoten!
It turns out their head office is less than a five-minute walk from the Hirayama office, with the shop and workshop all in one place.
The store was lined with all kinds of umbrellas, but the one that really caught my eye was a rain-or-shine umbrella that works as both a folding umbrella and a long umbrella!
I got to learn about how umbrella stitching differs from region to region, and I saw handles crafted from Hida wood — being able to feel the craftsmen's skill and dedication up close was such a treat.
I also heard it was used as a filming location for the drama Aibou (Partners) that aired last year!
They even sell Father's Day gift sets, so I'd highly recommend it if you're on the hunt for a present.

Afterward, I had lunch at an Italian restaurant called bakuro COMMON!
The space has a wonderfully open, airy feel, and there are sofa seats out on the terrace too. I dined inside this time, but I bet eating out on the terrace on a sunny day would feel amazing. The roast beef I ordered was incredibly tender — so good that I found myself completely absorbed in eating it!
Around the office, there are shops with a long history of local craftsmanship and lively restaurants where so many people gather — it really hit me again how they help power the energy of the Nihonbashi area.
It's a neighborhood I usually just pass through for my internship, but when I stop and take a little walk around, I'm reminded that there are so many lovely shops keeping Nihonbashi vibrant.
I can't wait to keep discovering the charms of this area! ✨
