Bon Odori Still Going Strong

まだまだつづきます盆踊り

現役美大生のクリエーティブ集団・ヒラヤマ（本社:東京都中央区/代表取締役:平山雅一）です。

ヒラヤマのあります東日本橋（東京都中央区）のおとなり、日本橋浜町には

浜町音頭という唄と踊りがありまして、

それもあって、盆踊りとその練習が盛んに行われております。

練習は、一年通しで行われてますし、「盆」と関係なく、秋深く、年によっては初冬にも「盆踊り」が行われます。

浜町音頭を残そう、という気風と

盆踊りで地域が一体となり楽しむ様子がとても熱い、ヒラヤマのご近所です！

We are HIRAYAMA, a creative collective of current art university students, based in Chuo-ku, Tokyo (Representative Director: Masakazu Hirayama).

Right next to Higashi-Nihonbashi, where HIRAYAMA is located, is Nihonbashi Hamacho—home to a traditional local song and dance called the Hamacho Ondo.

Thanks to this tradition, Bon Odori dances and practice sessions are held enthusiastically throughout the area.

Practice sessions continue year-round, and the dances themselves aren't limited to summer. In fact, Bon Odori events can even take place in late autumn or, depending on the year, early winter.

There’s a strong community spirit to keep the Hamacho Ondo alive, and the energy of neighbors coming together through dance is truly inspiring. It’s one of the many vibrant aspects of the neighborhood HIRAYAMA calls home!
